Leo Carrillo State Beach Camping
October 25, 2024 - October 27, 2024
| TBDEvent Navigation

We’ve reserved are August 27 – 30, sites 108 & 112 at Leo Carrillo State Park.
Spanning 1.5 miles of shoreline, the park is famous for its diverse landscape of sea caves, jagged reefs, and sprawling tide pools. Named after the actor and conservationist Leo Carrillo, the park feels like a natural playground; visitors can wander through the “Sequit Point” sea tunnels at low tide or hike inland trails that offer panoramic views of the Channel Islands shimmering in the distance.
When evening approaches, the park transforms into one of the most cinematic spots in Southern California. As the sun dips toward the horizon, the sky over the ocean ignites in shades of deep violet, fiery orange, and soft gold. The light reflects off the wet sand and the dark, craggy rocks, creating a dramatic silhouette of the shoreline. Watching the waves crash against the sea stacks while the sun sinks behind the distant islands is a serene, bucket-list experience that captures the raw, untamed beauty of the California coast.
