SPLASH DAY #2 July 11!
Try SCUBA & BBQ::Noon - 5pm
It's time to get your pool party on! Sunday, July 11th is the second of two club sponsored SPLASH DAYs. It's a chance to let "newbies" explore scuba in a safe, heated environment while having a yummy, poolside barbeque. It's also perfect for those of us who want to refresh our skills before heading out into the wet, wild blue yonder! (you know who you are!)
You'll have the chance to catch up with friends and make new ones while relaxing poolside. Just bring your suit and a towel and we provide the free food, music and company. RSVP to (323) 665-3483 or simply email us at gaydivers@sbcglobal.net.
It's the perfect way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon!
CLUB MEETING
Kavikas, Long Beach - July 21
This month's meeting will feature the photographic artistry of our very own Sharon Wallin! She has graciously agreed to share her pictures from our club's last dive trip to Cozumel in November 2009. It's another great chance to check out the always fantastic experiences divers have on a Barnacle Busters international trip! Who knows, you could be in the next slideshow, if you sign up in time!
2010 Calendar now online!
Make plans early to join us for our many events scheduled for 2010. There are many dates that are still to be confirmed. Check back often to see what is new!
They Loved Us! They Really LOVED Us!
2009 CSW Parade entry wins $500!
We are taking a break from the parade this year, but do plan to return in 2011 with an even bigger and better entry! Until then, please enjoy a blast from the past. Thanks again to all that participated.

Barnacle Busters on MySpace
Ever since we began our website, we've been looking for ways
to add features that club members have been asking for. One of those requests has always been to find a way to provide
more interactivity to allow our members to communicate with each other about all things diving. Keeping up with the latest
trends, Barnacle Busters has now joined the millions of Americans who are a part of MySpace.com.
You can find our page by clicking or copying this link into your browser: http://www.myspace.com/barnaclebusters.
The page is very
basic right now, but soon we will be utilizing the blog and friend's comment section as our club's BBS. We anticipate its
use as a place to find a dive buddy, plan your next tropical vacation with friends, or even sell that gear you no longer use.
We're also sure you'll come up with other ways to take advantage of this feature. If you are already a member of
MySpace, visit our page and send us a friend request. If you haven't joined, it is easy and free to join. We hope to see you
in Cyberspace!

We have a NEW MAILING ADDRESS!
BARNACLE BUSTERS
P.O. Box 39494
Los Angeles, CA 90039

Please note! There is
a clarification to the boat policies that has recently been added.
You may follow the link to this UPDATED information by clicking here.
Please read these policies now and be familiar with them.
The volunteers who organize these trips would appreciate
the cooperation gained through your understanding of these policies!

The Bottom Times is available
on the web! As a member who provides us with an email address, you will receive
a monthly email containing the current password to enter the Members Area of
our website which contains the web version of
our newsletter. This will only be sent to paid members. Drop us an email
at the address below for more details on how this works.
