Holiday Bash Dec 1!

Despite the summer-like conditions the past few weeks, the holiday season is nearly upon us. The traditional kickoff for many club members is our annual holiday bash. Buck is once again generously offering his great home as the site of this event (2494 Kenilworth Ave, LA 90039). This is the biggest social event on the club calendar, and "just everybody" is going to be there.

The club provides all the beverages, as well as the main courses (roasted turkey and ham), and you provide the side dishes and desserts potluck-style.

This year, depending on the first letter of your last name, please bring the following:

A - G : Desserts
H - M : Salad
N - Z : Side Dishes

In order to insure we have enough of the main courses and drinks, please RSVP to the club email address or phone hotline by Dec 4. Then, all you have to do is pick out that fabulous holiday outfit and join us that night.

The 2008 Barnacle Busters Calendar is up! Highlights this year include many Sea Bass adventures, along with Tropical Trips to Cocos Island, Costa Rica and to Roatan in Honduras.

Barnacle Busters on MySpace

Ever since we began our website, we've been looking for ways to add features that club members have been asking for. One of those requests has always been to find a way to provide more interactivity to allow our members to communicate with each other about all things diving. Keeping up with the latest trends, Barnacle Busters has now joined the millions of Americans who are a part of MySpace.com.

The page is very basic right now, but soon we will be utilizing the blog and friend's comment section as our club's BBS. We anticipate its use as a place to find a dive buddy, plan your next tropical vacation with friends, or even sell that gear you no longer use.
