We are now making it even easier to book a trip with Barnacle Busters! Follow the link above or click here to order spots on our boat dives through PayPal...then get ready to get wet!
To sign up for a trip, check the club's 24-hour voice mail at 323.665.3483 for boat availability, and leave a message to request a spot. The spot will be held for 5 days, pending arrival of your check by mail. After payment is received, you will receive a confirmation postcard in the mail. (If you don't get one, please phone the club information line to confirm.) Once you have paid for the trip, your reservation is confirmed and cannot be canceled. There are no refunds unless the boat operator cancels the trip. If you are unable to make the trip, you should sell or give away your spot on your own. The club may be able to help if there is a waiting list for the boat.
On BARNACLE BUSTERS boats, all diving must be within recreational sport diving limits: depths 130 feet or less and bottom times not to require decompression. There is a limit of one tank per diver on boats. You must show your diving certification card at sign-in. Check out our complete dive boat and reservation policy in your latest Bottom Times.
You can also view the complete and current Dive Boat Reservations & Policies statement by clicking here.
Each boat trip is a little different, and you should be sure to check the 24-hour voice mail line for details. The majority of our boat trips leave early in the morning (1-6 AM), so typically boat boarding occurs after 9 PM the night before. There are bunk accommodations on some boats. The boat crew or a divemaster will usually be on hand to show you where to stow your gear. You will also be asked to fill out a waiver and to show your certification card. All boats require you to supply your own gear, including a tank, weights and a weight belt. Meals and air fills are purchased aboard the boat, with some boats running a tab for you (payable at the end of the day), and others including air fills and food in a package price. A general briefing is held before the first dive, and there is a site orientation before each dive. Don't hesitate to ask the divemasters or boat crew if you have any questions.

The Sea Bass is a small fast boat that we've really grown to like in the past couple of years. Though it will accommodate only 14 divers, it really moves as a result. Bottom line is we can get out to the best dive sites faster, get in lots of diving, and be home earlier than most other boats.
Prices for our day trips aboard the Sea Bass are typically $115 for members, and $135 for non-members, and are inclusive of food and air fills.
Check the club Hotline for the latest prices for each trip.
